Service Description

Counselling can support youth through the challenging, and often difficult, transition into adulthood. Sonia focuses on hearing the youth's voice and needs, alongside their hopes for themselves. Incorporating the skills and abilities a youth already has with creative approaches to change, is the process involved in this therapeutic work. Some of the issues clients work through in session include family dynamics, peer relationships, dating, academic stress, traumatic life events, sexuality and sexual health, suicidal ideation, self-harm, substance use, and identity exploration.
