Meet Sonia
Sonia Pahwa (MSW, RSW) is a biracial (South Asian + European, with traits of Albinism) social worker and facilitator working in downtown Toronto, and surrounding areas. She offers counselling and psychotherapy sessions in office, by phone, and online. As a clinical trainer, Sonia delivers mental health workshops for organizations and community agencies across various sectors.
In her spare time, Sonia volunteers as a therapeutic clown. She has worked with Gesundheit! Institute and Patch Adams, participating in humanitarian outreach in Russia, Canada, US, and Guatemala. Some of this work includes exploring clowning as an alternative treatment for Veterans living with operational stress injury or PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).

Sonia is a Trainer and workshop host with LivingWorks and the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) program. She certifies diverse groups of participants in suicide first-aid life assisting skills.
